How to manage DNS in Enhance

This guide explains how to manage DNS records for a domain hosted on Enhance.

Important

Only manage DNS in Enhance if your domain is using the WebhostingNZ Enhance nameservers.

For Enhance hosting, the nameservers are:

  • ns5.whsl206.com
  • ns6.whsl206.com

If your domain uses different nameservers, DNS changes must be made wherever your DNS is currently hosted.

Step 1: Log in to Enhance

Log in to your Enhance hosting control panel from the WebhostingNZ client area.

If you are unsure how to access Enhance, follow this guide first:

Step 2: Select the domain

Open the website or domain you want to manage.

Step 3: Open DNS settings

Look for the DNS or DNS Records section.

Step 4: Add or edit DNS records

From the DNS section, you may be able to add, edit, or remove records such as:

  • A
  • AAAA
  • CNAME
  • MX
  • TXT
  • SRV

Be careful when editing DNS records, as incorrect changes can stop your website or email from working.

Common DNS examples

An A record points a name to an IP address.

An MX record controls where email is delivered.

A TXT record is often used for SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain verification, or email authentication.

How long do DNS changes take?

DNS changes can take time to update across the internet.

Many changes work within a few minutes, but some can take several hours depending on DNS caching.
